Colour psychology is the study of human behaviour and perception. It helps convey certain emotions and messages that do not have to be told verbally. Used in marketing and storytelling, this vision emphasizes how powerful colour is in our everyday lives.
Given how many teenagers find it tough to express their emotions, there's a need for a fresh, engaging site that provides helpful information to support them.
To reach the attention and sympathy of the online target audience, the information must be current enough to their experiences. After viewing the teen's interests, a variety of memes and artworks were used as the key images for the website. Given the amount of colour variety in the media, the layout must not be too overwhelming, but add a dynamic interest for viewers. The usage of colours is necessary, however, it must not overcomplicate the entire site.
With a simple grid layout, each of the nine colours mentioned is split into three categories (warm, cool, and neutral) to help organize the information. Each section would include a horizontal carousel for the images, colour descriptions, and symbolism. To enhance the effect of each colour’s interpretation on the desktop, each image defaults to black and white, revealing its true colours when the user hovers over it.
